Janosch Schmidt, Financial Accounting/Control
Janosch Schmidt joined foodwatch in January 2022. He supports the German team in all accounting related matters and provides the management and international accounting teams with numbers and reports.
Since completing his studies of business administration at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and the Copenhagen Business School, he has worked in several organizations from multinational (Siemens) to NGO (betterplace.org) to startup (Coffee Circle). He worked in a diverse range of finance functions, from being a sole responsible to leading a team of three, always aiming to streamline processes and provide precise results. To combine profession with purpose, he joined foodwatch to support the international teams in their goal to strengthen consumer rights. As a father of two, he is especially concerned about marketing for sweets and unhealthy food aimed at children.
